I have been looking at the Royal Mail storage box opposite where I live for many years and everyone loves sticking all their dog poop bags in as well as their general rubbish and potentially drug paraphernalia so as the council whether county or Borough seem to have a little no interest I thought I would take it upon myself to remove the lock which was in the lock position with the door open and then set the bolt so then once the door was shut, I could flick the wire and lock the lock securely making sure that no one could get in unless they were Royal mail. Unfortunately, I started at the back and removed the lock dissected the lock photograph the lock and then put it all back together again with the wire poison and ready before I then realised that the door would not shut because the hinges were bent and it was all rusted. I did try with a crowbar and literal brute force to try and bend it back again but unfortunately it felt like I was more likely to rip the Redbox off the post on which it was placed rather than actually bending anything that would enable me to shut the door so take this as a lesson to check your workspace and your area and start with preparation by starting at the beginning and working through the process to the end so check that everything you have is in working order up until the point it is not as opposed to attacking what is not in working order only to find to do pointless fixing it because it's still not going to be effective in its situation.
