What is Cultural Appropriation?

Welcome to A Psychologist Talks! On today's episode, I try to take a simplified approach to understanding what cultural appropriation means, as well as hints on how one might differentiate between a healthy sharing of ideas/cultural versus said cultural appropriation. Along the way, I try to use real-world examples of why true-blue cultural appropriation is something that nobody would appreciate. As I say in the beginning: just because this is one of many "charged" phrases these days (or I guess "woke" is the... wait for it... wait for it... APPROPRIATED term these days), that doesn't mean we should throw the baby out with the bath water.
