Being a yoga therapist entails a diverse, far-reaching and rich set of values, as broad as the scope of tools offered in yoga therapy itself. For each individual who undertakes the rigorous training required to become a yoga therapist, there is a unique motivation, a distinct perspective on what this path means to them. As someone who wholly dedicates her life to the field of yoga therapy, we were curious to ask our founder, Heather Mason: What does being a yoga therapist mean to you? ✨Seeing health in a multidimensional way. ✨A deep respect for how layered we are as human beings. ✨Offering simple tools with high efficacy for improving health and wellbeing. ✨Empowering people to take their health into their own hands. ✨The capacity to work with somebody beyond words. ✨Being authentic and aligned with my belief system within my offerings. As part of our mission to inspire others to join the yoga therapy movement, we’d love to build a collection of different perspectives, both from yoga therapists and those who have received yoga therapy. So take a moment to reflect - what does yoga therapy mean to you?
