Or, at the very least, a millennial queer experience. | It's an expression of grief related to the challenges of living with chronic illness. | It's an expression of gratitude for what has been achieved, and what can still be achieved, in spite of these challenges. | It's set on the colony today known to most by the name of Montréal. | It's the relationships between all these things. | "Niche" is probably too generous a word to describe this. | My sincere apologies to oboists everywhere for the choices I made in the latter half of iv., but I stand by them. | I am not delusional; this is a full fantasy extravaganza. Anyone got a few million lying around to stage a performance of this? :) | Related: there's a certain futility inherent in the genre of the score-video. This is only further amplified when the score in question is for large orchestra and contains vocals with text. Further still when the audio is MIDI-generated. Here I play around with that futility—often for laughs, sometimes to help bring out the expression of the text (or just make it plain legible), other times for the sheer indulgence at how ridiculous it all is, but always with love.
