NOW WITH 84% MORE 80s INFLUENCE! I've reused the midi visualization for the beginning as it's entirely made of orchestral instruments, even though I've made some minor changese here and there. There's not much to say about this one, aside from the fact that I love 80s music way too much and it's quite evident in this rendition. However the bass synthesized sound is actually a blend of two sources: the first and main one is the C4 pedal from source audio which gives a nice synth sound. The other one is a midi played by a free synth vst plugin, but I currently can't remember the name, sorry... Also, now that I'm writing, I've noticed that I wrote Steven Slate Drums as the drum plugin used... Which is obviously a mistake because I've used "retrowave" from Splash Sound, a free Kontakt instrument. Not bad but I've found better. We'll see if I'll have another opportunity to do some 80's/retrowave sounding track. The lead guitar was way harder to learn than I anticipated. I've written many articulations to play, I had to keep the tremolo bar for the entire first half of the solo just to use it in the middle a couple of times and the final scale was very tough for me to implement in the entire execution. You can clearly see me acknowledging a valid take because I've been practicing for a couple weeks now and I've also been lucky enough to cover these weeks with my 2 NRFTL midis. Also, to be honest this is a pretty much mediocre take, however it still is the best I've been able to record for now, so it will do. Also, I've discovered a horrible truth about tremolo guitars like my strat. If you don't maintain them correctly they go out of tune very easily with string bendings and to fix this you don't need to tune the strings all over again every time. You just have to make a full dive with the tremolo bar to let the bridge "reset" itself. And the tuning with it. I'm playing guitar since 2004 and this is the first time I've noticed and read about this. I really need to study this stuff...
