PS4 uses a form of temporal upsampling that can reconstruct a 1920x1080 resolution when rendering below this resolution. Xbox One S uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 1600x900 and the lowest resolution found being 800x900. Xbox One S seems to usually render at a resolution of 800x900. Xbox One S uses a form of temporal upsampling that can reconstruct a 1600x900 resolution when rendering below this resolution. Xbox One S renders the UI at 1920x1080. PS4 Pro uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being approximately 2730x1536 and the lowest resolution found being approximately 1365x1536. Xbox One X uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 3840x2160 and the lowest resolution found being 1920x2160. Xbox One X renders at 3840x2160 much less often than PS5 and Xbox Series X do in their 60fps mode. Xbox One X uses a form of temporal upsampling that can reconstruct a 3840x2160 resolution when rendering below this resolution. All consoles appear to be using a form of Variable Rate Shading. Temporal upsampling is used that seems to reconstruct the parts of the frame with a reduced shading rate from VRS. Cutscenes are letterboxed which results in a lower effective resolution during these scenes. There are some graphical differences between the current and last generation of consoles. Comparing the 60fps Mode on Xbox Series X and Xbox One X, some of the differences are that the Series X has improvements to LOD, increased scene detail, improvements to shadow quality, added tessellation and screen space shadows are used for the entire scene on Xbox Series X with these shadows only appearing on the viewmodel on Xbox One X. There are also some instances of improved texture quality on Xbox Series X http://bit.ly/3Tw4blO High quality models can take longer to appear on PS4 after a camera cut than on Xbox One S.
