Sayula es un municipio de jalisco de la Región sur del estado de Jalisco, Región Lagunas. En la plaza principal de Sayula se encuentran cuatro bustos en bronce en honor a diversos personajes ilustres. Uno en honor a Don Miguel Hidalgo con escultura de águila de alas extendidas y guirnaldas; otro en memoria de Don Benito Juárez, ambos construidos en 1910 y sobre pedestales de cantera. Los otros dos bustos fueron erigidos en honor de Manuel Ávila Camacho y Severo Díaz, respectivamente. Literatura: La obra de Juan Rulfo, que aunque muy breve le ha ganado justificada fama mundial. Autor de dos únicos libros: “El Llano en Llamas” un inolvidable volumen de cuentos, y “Pedro Páramo” su extraordinaria novela.
