This song was recorded using a Fostex multitracker 260, I suppose I was channeling Kruangbin and Ennio Morricone when I wrote it? The song was recorded as part of a forthcoming "mega tutorial" on that model of four track cassette recorder. The drums were programmed on an MPC, using a blend of factory samples and samples of cassette recordings of my own drum kit. The output of the MPC has been recorded to two of the four track on the cassette tape. Mono guitar and bass were recorded in one take each using pedals, not real amplifiers or microphones. Chamber reverb (drums) and spring reverb (bass) were added at mixdown using two zoom multistomp pedals routed through the 260's mixer. A zoom H6 was used to capture the stereo output of the Fostex.
