Boondi Laddu / Boondi Ladoo is a very popular sweet recipe prepared during all festivals ,especially during Diwali (famous Diwali Sweet) . Boondi means pearls of sweet delight, once you start eating these boondi you can never stop or control yourself hence boondi laddu 's were introduced to control our intake. To watch Boondi Ladoo Recipe in English :- For Rava Laddu Recipe in Tamil :- • Rava Laddu in Tamil For Mysore Pak Recipe in tamil • Mysore Pak Recipe in Tamil / நெய் மைசூர் பாக் For Rasmalai Recipe in Tamil :- • Rasmalai recipe in Tamil Ingredients : 1.5 cup Besan flour (Chickpea flour) 2 cups of Sugar 2 cups of water some Cashews some Raisins 1 tbsp ghee/clarified butter For Boon Directions for Boondi ladoo Recipe in Tamil: Step 1: Into a mixing bowl add besan / Chickpea flour (Kadalai Maavu) and water(( I have used 1 cup approximately ) i.e 1 tbsp less for 1 cup) and make a lump free smooth batter Step 2 : Fry the boondis in hot oil . Step 3:To make sugar syrup melt 2 cups of sugar add 1 cup of water and bring it to 1(one thick string) string consistency. The consistency of sugar syrup is very important. Step 4: Roast some cashews and raisins in 1 tbsp of Ghee / Clarified butter Step 5 : Combine the fried boondis , nuts and sugar syrup together Step 6:Make boondi laddu Note: To get perfect ladoo shapes grind/smash some of the boondi and add it to regular boondi and then form laddus it will be lot easier and you will get the perfect shape Note 2: If the boodis stick to your hand apply some ghee to your palms to avoid stickiness.
