Invincible: Aftermath is a cooperative deck building game where your deck is never shuffled. Your goal is to defeat the Boss before it destroys your team or the Homeworld you’re defending. In each battle, you start with a character-specific deck of cards and a unique special ability, then it's up to you to build up your deck, charge your power, and choose your strategy wisely. Your enemy won't be taking it easy on you, unleashing hordes of minions to take you down, launching attacks to destroy the city around you, and forcing you to adapt to their unique special abilities. How hard could it be? Well, all you have to do is stay alive, protect Earth, and defeat the universe's most powerful villains. The game can be played as a single battle or in a campaign mode of over four fully customizable and expandable battles by adding heroes and villains from many planned expansions. As you progress in the campaign, you'll gain powerful team attacks and combo abilities to strengthen your team — but your enemies won't be resting either! After each fight, the villains grow stronger, forcing players to adapt their strategies continually. The battles will be chaotic, and random turn order means teamwork is crucial to determining your optimal team strategy. For one reason or another these are just shy of perfect. Whether it's mechanics, length, brain burn whatever. 4.0 - This is where a game becomes recommended. Now I may or may not be in the mood, or even own it, especially considering other games. But a 4 is where we cross from good to great.3.5 - Really enjoyed, don't love it, will often lose out to better games, but there's a part of me that wants to own it/play it more. 3.0 - A good game, I enjoy playing it. But also if I never play it again I'm not losing any sleep over that. 2.5 - Wasn't the biggest fan. Wasn't the worst, but didn't feel like the best use of time. Would prefer not to play again but am willing to given the right circumstances. 2.0 - A game I don't want to play again. I'm not saying it isn't good, I'm saying I don't want to play it again regardless of circumstance. 1.5 - I did not like this game, do not want to play it, and think it's a fairly flawed game. 1.0 - I can't imagine rating a game this poorly ever. It would take something so abysmal I probably didn't get to even play it.
