An inspirational and visually stimulating narrative about an Eritrean American girl who embarks on a journey from Los Angeles, CA to Eritrean refugee camps in Eastern Sudan. During her visit with the humble Eritrean refugees, she witnesses and records the sorrowful and despaired lives forced upon the refugees in the camps. The elders, whom expected more out of life, have lost hope and faith, not only in themselves, but in their government. Although, the youth remain vibrant and hopeful for change, this is an issue that not only affects those locally, but globally as well. The intent and mission for this documentary is to raise awareness worldwide so, together, we can lend aid and improve the distressed lives of our forgotten brothers and sisters.
