Discover how purpose-driven leadership can guide organizations through crisis and change. This in-person event brings together social impact professionals to share insights, strategies, and real-world experiences. Join MCIS Language Solutions and a panel of distinguished thought leaders for an evening of insight and inspiration. As an early adopter of social purpose governance, MCIS has spent the last four years embedding purpose into its organizational DNA. This event explores how social purpose-driven leadership helps organizations navigate today’s poly-crisis landscape, global instability and rapid technological change. MCIS’s innovative board governance model will be showcased as a replicable framework for organizations seeking to strengthen their governance practices. Expect a dynamic evening of learning, networking and actionable insights. What You’ll Learn How social purpose strengthens governance and stakeholder engagement Why social purpose-driven organizations are more resilient in times of crisis How integrating purpose into business strategy unlocks innovation and sustainable growth Real-world examples of purpose-led transformation in nonprofit and corporate sectors MCIS Language Solutions, as a sponsor of this session, believes that Indigenous knowledge offers profound insights into the core principles of this approach. In our previous work with Indigenous Communities through the Language Access Coalition of Canada and our annual Language Microgrants we've learned to honour the principle of "nothing about us without us" in storytelling. This aligns deeply with Indigenous teachings that emphasize our responsibility to the land, the importance of relationships and commitment to collective wellbeing. Our gathering will be grounded in values of reciprocity and care - principles that have sustained Indigenous communities for generations. We believe these values are essential not just for understanding our past, but for creating a better future for coming generations. We honour the original stewards of this knowledge and the land on which we meet. After careful consideration, we have chosen September 30th for our gathering - a date that holds special significance as both the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation which MCIS has celebrated since 2012.
