Комсомольская (Komsomol Song), Soviet Komsomol song (AKA 共青团员歌, Song of the Communist Youth League)
14 of February, 1950: The USSR and the People's Republic of China sign the Sino-Soviet Treaty of Friendship, Alliance and Mutual Assistance. The Treaty had effectively fallen apart by 1954 due to the Sino-Soviet split, but technically expired in 1979. This song was written in the USSR in 1947, with music by Vasily Solovyov-Sedoi and lyrics by Alexsandr Galich. It was sung commonly by the Komsomol. It was soon translated into Chinese and it became very popular, especially in the ranks of the Communist Youth League of China.
