Here’s my original song “Time Surrendered”, the title track of my album and the most personal one on it. Blending acoustic roots — guitar, bass, and drums — with subtle hip hop influences, this song is a tribute to one of my best friends who passed away. I’ve woven pieces of his voice into the music, beginning with the sound of a radio tuning through static, slowly finding his recordings in the background. As the acoustic instruments rise, past and present meet. This song is about memory, loss, friendship, and surrendering time to something bigger than us. I hope it honors him the way he deserves.
