In this introduction to medieval Dartmoor Dr David Stone looks at life on the moor before the Black Death; the passage of the plague in 1349; and then what happened next. David led the Moor Medieval Study group which researched Dartmoor’s medieval past as part of the Moor than meets the eye Landscape Partnership scheme. These volunteer researchers helped shine a light on medieval Dartmoor and published a book “Moor Medieval”.
