1/21/2026 Worm Wednesday Feeding Vermihut Feeding Today’s feeding and check in was pretty quick. The tray rotation was two weeks ago and apart from the bedding shrinking, all the food scraps were eaten. For this feeding I gave them 2 handfuls of micro shred bedding, a large handful of sliced green bell peppers and a big handful of pulp from the juicer. Topped it off with another handful of bedding and ground eggshells, them I buried the feeding area with castings. After that I added some more bedding to the areas that looked low and added the homemade worm chow over top of the feeding area. 💡 Worm composting tip: Always freeze your food scraps first and cover your feeding area with castings or bedding! 📦 This setup is the VermiHut Plus, but I also have other systems like totes, a 5-gallon bucket, half a rain barrel bin, and even a shoebox worm bin! 👉 Don’t forget to subscribe to follow my worm composting journey and get tips for your own worm bins. 💬 Got questions?
