In this episode the Norton 12 x 6 surface grinder gets mostly reassembled and produce it's first sparks, also my friend Philippe comes to do a few tasks for himself, like heat treating a chuck key and cutting a piece too large to cut on his own band saw. A word about the WIYB 2016 with Keith Fenner. We're almost ready to make regular grinding jobs, with new drive shaft and brake system for the carriage, ie. the X axis... We can get a glimpse on how new wear bands can make an old grinder grind just like a new one with minimal maintenance.
