We went to Umi-no-mori Park, the largest park in Tokyo's 23 wards, which recently opened! This park is huge, so it's perfect for kids who want to play to the fullest. When we arrived at Umi-no-mori Park, our first destination was Wai-wai Square. It's over 500 meters away from the parking lot, but there is a spacious promenade, so we can ride the Strider and move forward smoothly. It feels great to run while feeling the breeze! As we approached Wai-wai Square, we saw huge playground equipment! It was so impressive that we couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow!" HIKA, with sparkling eyes, also ran out to the playground equipment. The first thing we tried was the rope bridge. The mesh is large, so HIKA, who is small in size, carefully balances himself as he moves forward. We cheered him on, saying, "Do your best!", and he was able to cross safely! Our next destination was the highlight of the park, the "huge tower of roller slides." It's a 15-meter-tall, 5-story jumbo roller slide! When you run up the stairs, you'll find a colorful spinning disk on the second floor. When you spin it, the colors change and sparkle like a kaleidoscope, which is very beautiful! Climb the stairs further to the third floor. There's also a fun tunnel slide here, but HIKA-chan still wants to reach the top. He challenges himself to climb the tunnel stairs, climbing steadily like an adventurer. And finally, we arrive at the fifth floor! A magnificent view of Tokyo Bay, Odaiba, and the Gate Bridge spreads out before us. The view from a high place is very pleasant! But HIKA-chan immediately heads to the slide. When he slides down the roller slide in one go, a happy voice of "Kyaa!" rings out. He was having so much fun that he ran up the slide with a smile, saying "I'm going to go again!" Waiwai Square is full of other unique play equipment such as the "bumpy slide" and the "rattle". There are also playground equipment that teaches you how to read Braille, so it's great to learn while playing. After playing to your heart's content, it's time to explore the forest! The path is surrounded by trees, just like a hiking trail, so you can enjoy a walk while enjoying forest bathing. The path is well maintained, so even small children can walk safely. There are also signs that introduce the names and characteristics of the trees, so you can learn about nature in a fun way. And the last place we visited was the Sea Forest Waterway. This is where the rowing and canoeing events were held at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics! Relax while taking a leisurely stroll along the water's edge, looking at the wide sky and the blue water surface. The breeze is pleasant, and it feels like you're walking on water. Come and visit Sea Forest Park! Ride a strider through the large park, try the giant roller slide, and explore the forest full of nature. You're sure to have a great day moving your body to the fullest! Enjoy the spring weather and have a great time with your family and friends!
