The boat is powered by a pretty impressive, near Mint, Beautiful running, SUPER LOW HOUR 1969 65 Hp Mercury FRESH WATER ONLY outboard. Even the back -up pull start rope is tucked away inside the front face plate in its original storage bag, and is intact. The motor has been meticulously maintained by a certified Mercury mechanic, and recently had a full service done to the motor. The water pump, or should I say impeller, was also replaced this last winter. The boat planes immediately with the 65 Hp Mercury thats on it now,on this 16 footer. Because of the hull design, with 2 full 6 gallon fuel tanks, 2 fully charged battery's, (1 battery is brand NEW), and 4 adults the boat accelerates to a maximum speed of 37 mph according to GPS on a flat glassy lake.
