This film is close to my heart due to his taking, screenplay and transcending govinda chanting. Raj-Koti duo has scored the best ever BGM of his career may be due to finesse of RGV, he had to deliver the best and he did. The Govinda chanting is the backbone of this track that was repeated numerous times by RGV in his other films. You don't have to be religious to enjoy this score but just have a musical mind. The main theme of "Govinda" chanting appears in different flavors that were very neatly blended into various scenes like suspense, chasing, devotion etc.. The other sequences like the demonic guy who wanted the Lord's crown for his satanic reasons, the Buddhist kind of theme during Nagarjuna's travel to Bangkok, love theme based on "Andama anduma" song, the vedic recital, the bit song on Sudarsana chakra sung by SPB, chanting of "Om Namo Narayanaya" and so on... each one is pinnacle of its own. I think that in certain themes Raj-Koti duo was inspired by Ilaayraja's BGMs. For example Andama Anduma love theme in flute resembles old 80s BGM style of Raja. And swamiji's theme that comes when Kota Srinivasa Rao keeps dreaming about how to spend his share, which was a direct lift of Raja's similar theme scored for the film Soora Samharam (Police Diary). I am not very fond of Raj-Koti's work as far as their re-recording is considered but they did a fabulous job for this movie. That is why we can still feel the ghoosebumpy ride even after 25 years.
