Hello and welcome to another episode of ZX Spectrum games I decided to do this video when I was checking the ZX Spectrum gaming scene in the 1992-2000 period. After the “Top 50 ZX Spectrum games of 1991” video, I thought about doing the 1992 year as well but then decided against it as the “mainstream” gaming scene was migrating (actually it already migrated) away from 8-bit computers into (mostly) Amiga and the PC. But, what I found out was that the ZX Spectrum scene was still kept alive by enthusiasts from (mostly) Eastern European block (Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, …) and they produced some amazing, AMAZING games and demos (most of them need a ZX clone “Scorpion” to run though - in case if you want to try them yourself). Note though, that few of them “borrowed” graphics from commercial games (but hey, their programming skills are still impressive ;) ). So this is what this video is about. A few (still) commercial games (mostly from 1992, like Crystal Kingdom Dizzy), and a few games and demos from mid-to-late 90s. And some of them are really, REALLY fantastic - never thought that something like this was possible on Spectrum at all. I mean… DOOM and Prince Of Persia on Speccy??? Yeap, they do exist and are also fun to play! Games are, as always, presented in no particular order. Have fun and let us know in the comments if you agree with our choices (and if we missed a title that should be on the list). Thank you for watching!
