The exocrine secretion poured into the duodenum for digestion. The tissues of the pancreas have a group of cells called islets of Langerhans, which produce endocrine secretions. Islets of Langerhans consist of different types of cells that have different hormones. Alpha cells………Glucagon Beta cells………insulin Delta cells…….Somatostatin. Function: Insulin Promotes glucose utilization by the body cells and lowers the blood glucose level.
