Let's get moving. Once out of the city traffic the highway heading towards Galle is new and fast, you could always take the train, which is pretty much a “must do” They are slower, incredibly cheap and you will get to see Sri Lanka from a different point of view. Probably the best train journey is from the central town of Kandy to Ella, this is truly a magnificent train ride. On the way and every day, in fact, you are in Sri Lanka, you should be stopping roadside and buying King Coconut. This is truly one of the most refreshing drinks ever. Cheap, cooling and good for you. And while we are on this subject, Bananas, Small bites sized sweet tubes of goodness. This is base camp for the next week, not too shabby at all.
