DARKNESS DIVIDED on Robbs MetalWorks 2025

I first came to know (& subsequently interview) Darkness Divided when their Victory Records debut, 'Written In Blood' dropped in 2014. It was a GLORIOUS time for metalcore in the metal world & I was not only intrigued by the brothers who comprised the band, but how in a genre that can quickly become repetitive that DD ALWAYS managed to cultivate their OWN sound & message. SO, last March when the band dropped their first new music in 6-years with the single, 'King of the Undertow' I was EXCITED (to see that they were still a band pursuing music & their vision) & PLEASED at what an AMAZING track it was. Last weekend the band (which doesn't play out too often) decided to put on a HEADLINE show, so I knew that I wanted to be there to document it & jam their music live. They surely did not disappoint with vocalist Gerard Mora (leading the vocal attack) & guitarist, Sebastian Elizondo shredding our faces off. I walked away that evening feeling quite fulfilled & happy for them, as I saw a group of young men who have both matured as people & musicians. I was so enthralled that I managed to shoot the ENTIRE show (minus the encore) & that is what I present to you NOW. ENJOY!
