This is the second episode where I design and develop a mechanical watch from scratch. Grovemade was nice enough to give me a sample of their cork, which has made me completely change directions of the watch from the last video because I'm in love with the material. I think that cork, metal and some type of clear acrylic would be so aesthetically pleasing, especially if you could see the bottom of the movement. These materials are more on the expensive side to make quick prototypes with, so instead I'm using some black resin on my SLA printer until I get the mechanism of the case working. If you don't have an SLA printer, I'd recommend looking into MakeLabs or Shapeways which are well respected 3D printing services.
