Submerged man-made objects has always been a fascinating topic for me ever since I was a child. It's very hard to explain why, though for most people, wrecks are still a very interesting subject. One spot in the Philippines that is full of wrecks is Subic Bay, and as it's not too far from Manila, it is Coach Sean's go-to place for his wreck speciality courses. This was such an amazing experience to see all these vessels from the Second World War, many of them still in good condition for "penetration", while others are becoming heaps of scraps due to environmental factors. And despite their seemingly scary, dark nature, they are actually bustling with peaceful aquatic life, taking refuge in the well-designed compartments and holes of the hull! In this video, I would also like to describe a bit about the steps to become a certified wreck diver. I found my PADI Advanced Open Water Diver video to lack details, so I attempted to do an improvement on this one! This course includes learning about routines, techniques and potential hazards when doing wreck dives. Also thanks to the awesome staff at Nathaniel's Bakeshop Olongapo!
