Cutting board. Learn how to make yours! You will see step by step how I made this beautiful wooden board. Here I used purpleheart wood, a very resistant, hard and wonderful Brazilian wood. For those who like crafts, handmade pieces, do it yourself (diy) just follow the step by step is to make your wooden board. The wood was already properly rigged. The sequence of tools to build this wonderful and very useful kitchen utensil was this: 1) measurement using the meter and square 2) Cut to length using the marble saw with wood disc! This is very important for your safety. 3) Drilling using Forstner drill to make the handle of our cold board 4) Finishing the cut using the jigsaw 5) Now it's time for the hardest part… sanding. I started with the bench sander and then the orbital sander. In the last one I used 120, 320 and 500 sandpaper. 6) I ended up leaving the top part of the board very thin and due to a small “incident” it ended up suffering a small break. And now? I solved the problem by gluing a small piece of wood, using non-toxic and waterproof glue and covering it using nautical rope, a material that can also be wet. 7) Finally, finish with a lot of mineral oil and a wax based on mineral oil and beeswax. All suitable for pieces of wood that will come into contact with food. Now you have an amazing cutting board. I hope it was helpful and inspires you.
