We also explored how activism extends beyond traditional protesting, embracing community involvement like beach cleanups and gardens as legitimate forms of political resistance. In this episode, we discussed: The Black Panther Party’s wellness legacy Redefining activism Accessible wellness practices The power of community and connection Guest Spotlight: Toya is a podcaster, writer, speaker, novice surfer (kindergarten level), juggler, plant mom, tattoo enthusiast and historian.
