Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve Hike, East Sussex Coastal hikes Today we start by taking the East Hill Cliff funicular to the top of East Hill with views out over Hastings and the sea. It is a beautiful day, although a little hazy with the sea blurring into the sky. This is part 1 of a two part virtual hiking video of the Hastings Country Park Hike. The walk takes us through woodland (often with bluebells), coastal heath with bright yellow gorse, grazing land, and along cliffside views. There are several step hills but worth the effort. Owned by hastings Council and covering 853 acres, Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This hike is estimated to take about 3.5hours but can take much longer depending on fitness.
