HARTWELL, Ohio (WKRC) - $100,000 worth of stolen off-road vehicles have been recovered thanks to a Facebook tip and a business owner who would not stop looking for his stuff. Some stolen vehicles which were being stashed in a Hartwell building are back where they belong. A dozen off-road vehicles, bikes, quads, and two-seater side-by-sides are back home at Northern Kentucky Motor Sports in Alexandria after being recovered from what looked like a vacant building in Hartwell about 30 miles away. The vehicles, which were in for repairs and storage, were stolen around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday when thieves broke the lock on a gate. Motor Sports Owner Bruce La Gory posted on Facebook, asking if anyone had seen his stuff. Someone did. The tip led La Gory on Wednesday afternoon to the structure on Galbraith Road. “I seen one of my side by sides being loaded onto a trailer and inside more of my stuff,” said La Gory. La Gory took pictures as the trailer was driven away by one of the guys from the building. La Gory's business partner was there too and took off after the getaway car and trailer with the stolen ATV on board. “He followed them until they got stuck in a field, and then the backed out into the field with the side by side and took off through the woods… and he chased them on foot as far as he could,” said La Gory. But La Gory says the rest of his ATV's were still in the building. “We refused to leave until someone got us a warrant,” said La Gory. La Gory was at the scene for twelve hours. Cops finally got in at 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning with the warrant and in the early morning darkness, the ATV's were removed and returned to their old Kentucky home in Northern Kentucky. “Oh we were just relieved that our customers got their stuff back and we wouldn't be out $100,000 to make sure our customers would be happy,” said La Gory. There are no names yet on any potential suspects. Police are also trying to figure out if at least one other similar theft case in the area is connected to this one.
