Introduction: Sama (Barnyard Millet) is a rich source of calcium, has complex carbohydrates and dietary fiber which makes it a better alternative for rice. It's good for diabetic people and for people who are suffering from bone related issues (arthritis, back pain, shoulder pain, etc.). It can be given to the toddlers for better bone development. Recipe: Ingredients: Sama-50g, Hot Milk- 1 litre, Nuts of Choice, Ghee, Cardamom powder/Rose water, Sugar/Jaggery Instructions: -Wash the sama rice thrice (rinse gently). -Add 1 tbsp ghee to a pan. -Roast the nuts in it until golden brown. -Roast the sama rice in the ghee for 2 minutes. -Add hot milk and stir it continuously. -Cook it for 10-15 minutes until the milk thickens. -Add the roasted nuts and cardamom powder/rose water. -Switch off the flame, add the sweetener of your choice and stir it well. -Garnish with more nuts and serve hot/cold.
