Africa’s first G20 summit, held in South Africa's capital Johannesburg, wrapped up on Sunday as President Ramaphosa passed the rotating presidency to the US, which was a no-show at the event. US President Donald Trump boycotted the summit in Johannesburg on unfounded allegations that South Africa's black majority government persecutes its white minority. Despite that, the South African leader has adopted a declaration addressing the climate crisis and other pressing global challenges, which he has hailed as "renewed commitment to multilateral cooperation".
