9 most EPIC E3 moments of all time

In this list we take a look at the most epic E3 moments of all time. So we hope your body is ready for some E3 hype! 1. NINTENDO 2004 - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess We all know that Nintendo has some of the most hardcore fans in the world. When Miyamoto walked out on stage in 2004 dressed as Link people immediately lost their shit. The game turned out to be less epic than we had hoped but boy was this an awesome moment at the time! 2. SONY 1995 - Playstation price reveal Sony handled the price announcement of the original Playstation like a boss back in 1995. By saying just one word they owned the competition. It’s still an epic moment and the most memorable price announcement of all time. 3. SEGA 1995 - Saturn instant release Sega pulled an Apple back in 1995 by announcing and instantly releasing its new Saturn console. It was an amazing move at the time and nobody in the game industry has done anything like it since. Too bad gamers couldn’t actually buy one since retailers weren’t informed beforehand and didn’t have any Saturns in stock. 4. SONY 2013 - Xbox One troll Sony completely trolled Microsoft with this E3 video back in 2013. This step-by-step tutorial of how to lend games to your friends was only made to make to make fun on the Xbox One and its heavy DRM protection at the time. Talk about adding fuel to the console war. 5. MICROSOFT 2014 - Xbox One backwards compatibility Phil Spencer surprised everyone by announcing backwards compatibility for the Xbox One in 2015. It’s a feature gamers longed for ever since the new generation of consoles were announced and it was awesome that Microsoft finally could deliver on it. 6. SONY 2005 - Killzone 2 trailer Back when the PS3 and Xbox 360 were releasing we knew games would look good. But the Killzone 2 trailer in 2005 went beyond our wildest expectations. It was mind blowing in every way and we were awestruck until it all turned out the be a bunch of CGI of course. The actual game didn’t come close to the epic trailer. Why did you lie to us Sony? 7. Microsoft 2008 - Final Fantasy XIII Microsoft shocked gamers by announcing that Final Fantasy XIII would be coming out on the Xbox 360 in 2008. Square Enix hadn’t released a main series Final Fantasy game on a non-PlayStation console since Final Fantasy VI. It was a major blow to Sony at a time when the PS3 was already struggling to make sales. 8. Nintendo 2001 - Super Smash Bros. Melee Nintendo’s reveal of Super Smash Bros. Melee in 2001 remains one of the most exciting pieces of E3 history to date. The crowd went wild when they showcased one classic character after another. It was some serious fan service and the people loved it. 9. SONY 2010 - Kevin Butler’s Epic Speech Sony’s fictional executive Kevin Butler completed owned the show in 2010 with one epic speech about gaming. We love his message about unity in the gaming world and are still bummed he isn’t around anymore since he had a falling out with Sony. Which E3 moment made you jump out of your chair?
