The smooth, rolling melody titillates the senses, resolving into a cacophony of melodic chaos. The remix by Schlepp Geist is more stripped back, allowing the main melody to tease and build, as it plays over a punchy yet persistent beat. ‘How To Be King’ is a distinctly house influenced affair, cemented by the memorable vocal sample littered throughout. It is laden with groove and carried by a playful, light melody, layered over dirty chords. Philip Bader’s remix serves to counter the original in a dramatic way. A tech driven, rhythmic track, it focuses on the vocals, while the background is a simple, yet heaving and rolling beat. And finally, that sweet little extra is a ReMint of ‘How To Be King’, made especially for those who dig the original, but prefer the vocals stripped out.
