In this series of videos, I do my best to show how one can build a neopixel lightsaber, powered by the Crystal Focus X soundboard. I don't claim to be an expert on building lightsabers. This is my fifth build, and I had no experience with electronics until about 5 months ago. Also, this is the first time I've worn a gopro on my face, so apologies for the amateur camera work. This first episode is just an overview of the parts used. I briefly explain what everthing does and how I plan to fit it together. Here is the list of parts used: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/... A NOTE ABOUT WIRE GUAGE: In this video, I used 24awg wire for the power connections and 30awg for everything else. THIS WAS NOT CORRECT. You should use at least 22awg wire for any connections carrying power in a neopixel build. Using two 24awg wires per connection is also acceptable. Also, 28awg is recommended for the speaker. See the wiring guide in the CFX manual for more info. I want to thank: -Erv Plecter, for designing the CFX. -Tatyana Ostrovski, moderator of the Offical CFX Facebook Group. -Tim Yaskus, running The Custom Saber Shop. -Rob Petkau, produced instructional videos on The Custom Saber Shop YouTube channel.
