HISTORY (by racingcircuits.info): At the beginning of the 1960's, Jerez was organizing the 'Trofeo de la Merced', a series of street races which attracted the top motorbike riders of the time. By the mid-'80s, the mayor of Jerez, Pedro Pacheco Herrera, had signed off on plans for a modern autodrome. Constructed during 1985, project was led by the Spanish engineer Manuel Medina Lara, based on a preliminary idea from Alessandro Rocci. In April 1986, Jerez was completely finished and celebrated its first Spanish Formula One Grand Prix. Due to security next step was different turns and layouts: configuration 1986-1990 of 4.218 different Turn 5-6-7-8 configuration 1994-1997 of 4.428 different Turn 11 configuration at time present of 4.423 A LAP description in MotoGP (by Dani Pedrosa on Eurosport.com) Main straight and turn 1 and 2, "Expo 92" and "Michelin" The main straight is short; Michelin is a right-hand angle where you have to follow the perfect line to get ready for the series of corners coming next Turns 3 and 4 Turn three forces you to change the side on the bike. The straight leading to turn four is hardly noticeable and this turn is quite fast Turn 5, "Sito Pons" have to make good use of the track and come out well, because else you might get passed in the following 300 metres due to the slipstreams or in the next braking section Turn 6, "ex Dry Sack" Dani Pedrosa comes after the longest straight of the circuit that goes downwards is like "all-or-nothing". You have to brake very well and avoid the other riders passing you through the inside. Turn 7 is a fast corner Turn 8 is a left-hand hairpin that forces you to lean down a lot and open the throttle really softly. Turns 9 and 10, "Nieto" and "Peluqui" These are two linked right-handers that become a single one. Turns 11 and 12, "Crivillé" and "Ferrari" These are the two most important corners of the circuit very fast where It is very difficult to overtake Turn 13, "Ducados" like an hirpin it's very difficult Main straight ALL OF FAME F1 1986 Ayrton Senna 1987 Nigel Mansell 1988 Alain Prost 1989 Ayrton Senna 1990 Alain Prost 1994 Michael Schumacher 1997 Mika Häkkinen TESTED CAR Ferrari 312T (*) Driver: Niki Lauda '75 World Champion F1 BHP = 495bhp | Torque = 308Nm | Weight = 606kg Gear = 5 Speed | Max Speed = 320km/h | Acceleration 0-100km/h = https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari... https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niki_Lauda If you like the video join to AC WORLD - Everyday a new track to discover! https://bit.ly/3iej62Y (*) ASSETTO CORSA original by KUNOS.
