Captain James Hook is the main antagonist in Disney's Peter Pan franchise, based on the original story by J. M. Barrie, and also one of the most recognizable and popular villains in Disney's overall animated library. He is known for his extravagance, cruelty and yet also cowardice and a naive dream to rule all the seas of the world. He mainly resides in Neverland, where he owns and serves as a captain of his ship, Jolly Roger, on which he travels to have revenge on Peter Pan for cutting off his left hand and feeding it to a crocodile, who has since been in a constant chase after him, as well as have his ability to fly with the use of the pixie dust.
