SSU intercepts conversations of FSB agents preparing terrorist attacks in Zaporizzhia region

The SSU has uncovered new facts of reconnaissance and subversive activities of a group of russian agents, detained by the SSU Counterintelligence on 9 May 2023 in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Then, two russian agents, ‘Voron’ and ‘Docent’, were exposed on preparing terrorist attacks against the Command and special purpose units of the Defence Forces on the southern front. The SSU has recordings of conversations between these enemy informants, where they plot a series of explosions at the locations of the Armed Forces, the SSU and the National Police. As it became known, the FSB planned to send a ‘parcel’ with 10 kg of plastic explosive to its saboteurs to commit the attacks. The agents were also preparing a targeted missile attack on rolling stock with the AFU’s military equipment at one of the railway junctions in the region. Earlier, the SSU notified both detained individuals of suspicion under Articles 28.2 and 111.2 of the CCU (high treason committed under martial law, by a group of persons). The suspects are in custody, facing life imprisonment. The investigation is ongoing. The SSU Office in Zaporizhzhia region is investigating the proceeding under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
