2021 Lord of the Fork / Russell Fork Race

A small group of us started racing the Russell Fork back in early 1990's, and it become an official, timed race in 1995. I think we only had 7 racers at that first race. Its fun, technical and fairly continuous nature, makes it one of my favorites places to be. Thanks for a long list of organizers, volunteers and fans, the Lord of the Fork / Russell Fork Race continues on to this day and this years race saw 112 racers thanks to the volunteer efforts of the Great Falls Foundation! Simply incredible. While not my smoothest run, this year gave me relatively smooth lines and a time I can be proud of next to some of the best whitewater paddlers out there..
