GromFest 2022 – Wakeboarding Kids Rock! GromFest is back for its 2nd year and we’re delighted to share the awesome wakeboarding skills today’s youth are showing us behind the boat and under the cable. GromFest is 5 kids getting together for a weekend of riding and playing on the water, making lifelong friendships, and pushing each other on their wakeboards. The cast includes 10-year-old Parka Edwards all the way from Melbourne, Australia; 11-year-old Zoey Carrol & 13-year-old Hudson Gentry, both from Hickory, NC; 12-year-old Zac Miller from Tupelo, MS; and 11-year-old Kane Ward from Cullman, AL. Flipside Watersports hosted the groms for a day of action on the cable system and the boat riding took place on Lewis Smith Lake in Alabama. Russell Marine provided a Nautique G23 for the kids while Hyperlite Wake and Havoline Xpress Lube Cullman put some gas in the tank. Each of the sponsors are impressed by the riding level of these young wakeboarders and hope to see this event grow into the future. Wakeboarding superstar JB O’Neill even dropped in to have some fun with the crew.
