Antiques in France - Treasure Hunting & Richard’s Surprise Serenade - EP94 This week we’re off on a little road trip—over an hour north of the château to the charming village of Verteillac, where we discovered a new brocante (with a touch of vide grenier thrown in). The atmosphere was buzzing, the streets were beautiful, and Richard even surprised me (and everyone else!) by breaking into an Italian classic—Funiculì Funiculà! 🎶 We didn’t stay too long, but it was worth the journey. Amongst the stalls, we stumbled upon a gorgeous lamp stand with a bamboo look, reminiscent of Maison Baguès. Solid brass and a steel, it was too good to leave behind. With a little rewiring from Richard, it’s going to shine as a stunning new addition to the château.
