Aviemore - Sluggan Pass - Glenmore | Gravel Bike Ride

Sluggan Pass and Glenmore | Gravel Bike Ride from Aviemore, Scotland The first part of this great gravel ride goes from Aviemore to Boat of Garten along the Speyside Way and the River Spey. From there it's over to the wildlife-rich Caledonian pine forest of Loch Garten. Here you'll find the Loch Garten Nature Reserve, where, if it's the right time of year, you can admire the nesting pair of ospreys. Via Tulloch Moor and a wee detour to Knock of Kincardine for another stretch along the river Spey you'll get to the Sluggan Pass. A fairly steep climb up the Pass is followed by a great descent with magnificent views of the Cairngorms. Time for a well deserved break at the cycle-friendly Glenmore Visitor Centre and Café and maybe a paddock visit at the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre next door. After your break you'll be taking the higher route at the back of Loch Morlich. Another lovely descent ends with a scenic stop at the Loch.
