This method can be used to perform dye to pigment ink changeover and vice versa. To perform ink changeover you’ll need - 👉 Container 👉 Tissue Paper 👉 Transfer / Cleaning Solution 👉 6 × 10ml syringes 👉 Flat head screwdriver 👉 Funnel 👉 Dye Ink bottles (C,M,Y,K,LC,LM) 👉 Sublimation Ink (C,M,Y,K,LC,LM) 👉 Gloves for hand protection. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝟏: Before performing the Ink changeover process it is advised to print the nozzle pattern of the printer to check the current status of the nozzles (clogged or not). If you do get the perfect nozzle pattern as shown on the screen then we suggest not performing the changeover. Else you can follow the below-mentioned steps. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝟐: Plug the printer’s power cable to the supply, and power “ON” the printer. Once the head is free to move, Switch-Off the printer from the supply immediately. 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒆: 𝑫𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅, 𝒊𝒇 𝒊𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 (𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏) 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝟑: With the help of a flat head screwdriver, unplug the dampers. When unplugged, you will hear a click sound. Gently remove the white cover strip above the damper pipe with the help of a screwdriver. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝟒: Once Damper is taken out. Purge out whole ink from the Ink tank with the help of syringes. Use a Separate Syringe for each color. 𝑪𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: 𝑫𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒑𝒖𝒕 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒗𝒂𝒄𝒖𝒖𝒎𝒆𝒅 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄 𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒓 𝒊𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒚 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒅𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒅. (𝑰𝒇 𝒊𝒕 𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒔 𝒅𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒓) 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝟓: After the ink is removed and bubbles start coming out in the syringe, stop the purging process and fill the ink tanks with approx. 30ml of transfer solution with the help of a funnel. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝟔: Shake the ink tank gently 2-3 times and start purging the solution from dampers. You can use the same syringe as you used to remove inks 𝑭𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒑5 & 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒑6 𝒂𝒕 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕 2 𝒕𝒐 3 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒌, 𝒅𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒊𝒑𝒆𝒔. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝟕: Once the ink is flushed out, some amount of solution is left in the tank. Install the dampers and perform head cleaning to remove the ink from the print head. 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒆: 2 𝒕𝒐 3 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒅. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝟖: Once step7 is done, Use 10ml of sublimation ink, put it in the ink tank, and perform step 4 again only once. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝟗: After Step8, Top-up sublimation ink in the ink tanks. To get the ink to the dampers we’ll plunge the excess air out of the dampers till the ink starts to come up. Keep the position of the damper upside down to perform this. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝟏𝟎: Install the dampers and pipes properly to their respective positions. Perform head cleaning again 2-3 times to ensure that the head and supply pipes do not contain any amount of air in them. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝟏𝟏: Perform a nozzle pattern check and see if you are getting the perfect pattern or not. If perfect then the changeover is successful. 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒆: 𝐼𝑛 𝑐𝑎𝑠𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑑𝑜 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑔𝑒𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑓𝑒𝑐𝑡 𝑛𝑜𝑧𝑧𝑙𝑒 𝑝𝑎𝑡𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑛.
