Media Briefing: Security Guard Shooting at 3701 North Main I Houston Police

Assistant Chief Luis Menendez-Sierra provides briefs the media on a shooting at 3701 N Main. Preliminary information: At approximately 3:31 a.m. on Sunday, September 28th, HPD officers were dispatched to a shooting-just-occurred call at he above address. Upon arrival, the officers met with a licensed security guard who explained there had been a male at the cantina refusing to exit the bathroom. The security guard took the man outside and a verbal altercation ensued. Multiples friends of the male began to attack the security guard. On the ground, the security guard pulled his weapon and discharged it several times. Two males were struck in the chest and transported to the hospital. An employee who was not involved in the altercation was struck in the hand by gunfire and transported to the hospital, along with the security guard, who complained of some medical issues.
