The folks at Gitto Farm are cultivating and supplying the curly variety, a common ingredient in a diverse array of dishes. It is the kind of quality you find in the fresh produce at Gitto Farm n Kitchen, a self-sufficient property founded by a couple who picked up the passion for farming and never looked back. The family is proudly sharing their local roots, supplying a crop of their curly-leaf kale to be used in creative dishes at our signature Marcus restaurants. After 20 years, Greg Gitto decided he wanted to do something different. He and his wife, Carol, wanted to farm. Neither Greg nor Carol had any farming experience. They learned by doing, first on other people’s farms. They started dairy farming in 2000 and four years later started raising vegetables.
