Remix made with Demucs4 extracted stems from the 2010 remix as per The Early Years boxset. The song has a complicated history. It was written by Syd Barrett and originally recorded with intention on being their follow-up to "Apples And Oranges", with "Set The Controls for the Heart of the Sun", written by Roger Waters, as the B-Side, but it was refused by EMI. Later, they sent it again to EMI, this time with "Vegetable Man" by Barrett as the B-side, but it was vetoed again by EMI. After Barrett's dismissal from the band due to his mental health issues, the band never allowed the release of the song, which only appeared on bootlegs. In 2010, a remix was made for the "An Introduction to Syd Barrett" compilation but its inclusion, along with "Vegetable Man", was vetoed by the band. This remix was finally released in 2016 on The Early Years boxset. I picked the 2010 remix because it's of better quality than the mixes issued on various bootlegs. However, it suffers from having a very harsh equalization, especially in the high frequencies, sounding very unnatural to the point of being uncomfortable in the ears. I reduced the treble significantly, raised the bass and centralized the drums. This is from my remix of the "A Saucerful of Secrets" album, which includes over 3 hours of bonus material: 1. Remixes of all the non-album singles from this era; 2. Syd Barrett songs from the sessions remixed; 3. "The Committee" soundtrack isolated; 4. A small selection of the BBC sessions in stereo; 5. The original mono mix which was never officially released on CD. 6. 50+ high definition photos from the band in 1968 Download link for the set.
