Installation of a Secure Cover on the VAPOR PIN®

This video presents the process of installing a Secure Cover on the VAPOR PIN®. A Secure Cover is used to in a setting where the VAPOR PIN® is set below the top of the slab and will be sampled on multiple occasions. The tamper resistant Secure Cover is designed for use in industrial-commercial settings and high traffic areas. Although not required, a VAPOR PIN® Drilling Guide is recommended for use during installation. The Drilling Guide ensures that the VAPOR PIN® is positioned within the center of the flush mount cavity, is perpendicular to the slab, and is set at the proper depth to engage the threaded Secure Cap. Utilized for Sub-slab soil gas sampling, de-pressurization studies/testing, stray gas evaluations, source area characterization, pressure testing of radon mitigation systems, and mitigation progress monitoring.
