This is Part 2 of our Yukon River trip from summer 2020! A friend and I paddled part of the Yukon River in northern Canada earlier this summer. It was part exploration, part camping/wilderness adventure. Our main goal was to soak in all the history along this historic river. Over 100 years ago, many people made the gruelling journey in a mad dash to the Klondike. All in search of that elusive gold! The river was dangerous in some sections and as a result there are many wrecks along the way. There are remnants of cabins and lodges along the way, old woodyards, debris on shore and so much more.
