Thermo Scientific™ Amira™ Software is a powerful, multifaceted 3D/4D+ platform for visualizing, manipulating, and understanding life science research data from many image modalities, including CT, MRI, 3D Microscopy, and other techniques. Bones typically consists of two types of osseous tissues i.e. cortical and trabecular bone, which gives bones their stiff and flexible properties. After separating bones and classifying them into different types, bone researchers are often interested in the morphology of the trabecular bone structures. For this purpose, the Amira XImagePAQ extension supports a workflow that separates the trabecular bone from the cortical bone.
