Gull Inspired Wing Design

This year I wanted to design my own aircraft wing from scratch. The inspiration behind this design was a sea gull's wing; I wanted to implement the "folding" feature into an aircraft wing design and see if it would work. Just like the sea gull's wing, this model folds in for high speed maneuvers such as taking-off and cruising. For landing, the wing stretches outward with a 15 degrees rotation and the flaps extend downward. This, in theory, would give the aircraft better gliding capabilities as the wing has straightened out and increased its wingspan. I wanted to make this wing give the aircraft the best gliding abilities, so much that the throttle could be cut in descent and final approach to save more fuel. This is all in theory. But, again, the main inspiration is from the sea gull's wing and how it works. There is also another feature I added which are the "Winglet Ailerons." These are tilted ailerons that work separately from the main aileron. These would sync with the rudder and help tilt the airplane much faster in cross-wind landings.
